We are a very busy Scout troop. We meet every Monday night at 7:00PM on the second floor of the school at Friendly Avenue Baptist Church in Greensboro, North Carolina. We camp, bike, hike, canoe or have another activity every month, go to a week of summer camp in different Scout camps around North Carolina in June or July every year. We also alternate a short trip for four days every summer, such as whitewater rafting in West Virginia, with longer trips for as many as ten days for hiking in the Wind River Range or Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. We have also traveled overseas to hike in the Swiss Alps three times in the past 15 years. 2009's highlights were canoeing down the Dan river, spelunking in Morril cave in Tennessee, riding 200 miles along the C&O canal towpath in Maryland and summer camp at Camp Raven Knob.  In 2010, the troop traveled back to the Swiss Alps for hiking.
